EB5 / PERMANENT RESIDENCE
Permanent resident status based on EB-5 eligibility is available to investors, that meet the following requirements: Establishment of a business. Active involvement in the business. Investment of at least $1 million in the business ($500,000 is acceptable in certain designated areas) which can be in cash, equipment, inventory, etc. Benefiting U.S. economy. creation of full-time employment for not fewer than 10 U.S. workers.
e2 / BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
The E Visa category is available to citizens of countries which have a treaty of trade and commerce with the U.S. The E-1 Trader must be coming to the U.S. to conduct “substantial trade” between the treaty country and the U.S. The E-2 Investor must make a “substantial' investment” in the United States. Key employees who are nationals of the same treaty country might be eligible for E status also. There is no maximum period of stay in this category.

La residencia permanente a través de una inversión está disponible si se cumple con el siguiente criterio: Tienen que establecer un negocio Deben estar activos en el negocio La inversión debe ser de $1,000,000 [ó $500,000 en un área rural o de alto desempleo] y esto debe invertirse en efectivo, equipo, inventario, etc. El negocio debe beneficiar la economía. e2 / DESARROLLO DE NEGOCIOS
La categoría de visa E está disponible para ciudadanos de ciertos países que tienen un tratado de comercio con los Estados Unidos. La visa E-1 es para personas que mantendrán comercio substancial entre el país del tratado y Estados Unidos. La visa E-2 es para inversionistas que hagan una inversión substancial en un negocio en Estados Unidos. Empleados claves del inversionista tambien son elegibles a la visa. Esta visa se puede prorrogar por períodos indefinidos siempre que la inversión continúe.

She is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association, and the Florida Bar. Ms. Diez was born in Cuba, and moved to Florida as a child. Most of her life was then spent in Puerto Rico, where she founded one of the premier law firms specializing in business immigration. She has now expanded her practice to South Florida.
